Terms and Conditions


The Terms and Conditions under which you may purchase products from www.brightwood.com.au are set out below.

Please read the Terms and Conditions carefully before placing any orders on www.brightwood.com.au

By completing the customer application process and using the www.brightwood.com.au you acknowledge that you have read and understood these Terms and Conditions and agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions of this Agreement.

Please direct all enquiries for online purchases to orders@brightwood.com.au and allow 1-2 days for a response.

Governing Laws

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed in accordance with the laws of New South Wales Australia and shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales Australia.

Purchase Orders

Currently we ship to addresses and post office boxes within Australia and New Zealand only. Please allow 4 to 8 working days for delivery.

At this time Brighwood Trading is unable to deliver to international addresses.

All parcels are shipped using Australia Post E-Parcel or in some cases a courier service.

Parcels carry a barcode which is scanned during the delivery process. A signature is required upon delivery. If you would like to provide special instructions for delivery (e.g. authority to leave at the front door if no answer), please e-mail us orders@brightwood.com.au.

Please note that if special delivery instructions are provided, Brightwood takes no responsibility for lost or stolen items.

Should the delivery address be unattended, an 'Attempted Delivery' card will be left and the parcel will be taken to the closest Post Office for collection.

Order Tracking

When your order is dispatched we will send you a ‘Shipping Confirmation’ email that contains your tracking number so that you may track the progress of your parcel.


At the time of making a purchase, the shipping cost will be added. A flat fee of $10.00 is charged for all orders. For all orders over $150 shipping is free


Payment details must be finalised prior to despatch. 

We accept company, bank or personal cheques only by prior arrangement. Cheques are not cleared funds and goods will not be despatched until the cheque is cleared by the issuing bank. Cheques are usually subject to clearance delay, normally 3 business days (Brightwood Trading reserves the right to refuse payment by cheque).

We accept direct deposit, however payments must be cleared in our bank account before we can despatch goods. Please contact us orders@brightwood.com.au to arrange direct deposit.


The price payable for the Goods shall be THE price applicable on the date the Goods are confirmed as ordered. Advertised prices are in Australian Dollars and are all inclusive of GST. Sometimes typographical or human errors may occur, in which case we will try our best to quickly rectify, but we hold no responsibility for.


All online prices are inclusive of the 10% GST charge on purchases. On New Zealand orders no Australian GST is charged.

Variation in Colour

Timber is an organic natural material, each piece is unique with natural variations in the grain. This means that the piece you order may vary slightly from the image on the website


Please note that all purchases on www.Brightwood.com.au website are final so please choose your purchase carefully.

Except in the unlikely event of receiving a faulty or incorrect product, exchanges and or refunds are not accepted. 

Any faulty or incorrectly sent item for return must be advised to Brightwood Trading within 5 days of receiving the order and must follow the following procedure.

Please e-mail orders@brightwood.com.au to receive a Return Authority Confirmation providing the following information:

1. Name

2. Email Address

3. Telephone Number

4. Original Order Number

5. Name of product to be returned

6. What is the reason for the return?

Once approval of the return has been has been advised by Brightwood Trading, please pack up the goods using the original packaging and return to the address below including the original tax invoice in the box.

We recommend using registered post or trackable courier as we take no responsibility for returned items lost in transit.

Once the product has been returned we will assess the goods and either replace or issue a full refund. The cost of returning the goods will also be refunded if the product is deemed faulty.

Please allow 1-2 weeks from the day you return your goods to process the return.

Legal capacity to transact

If you are under the age eighteen (18) years you CANNOT place orders with Brightwood Trading. By accepting these Terms and Conditions you acknowledge that you are over the age of eighteen (18) years. Should Brightwood Trading suffer any damage or other losses as a result of a transaction entered into by a minor, Brightwood Trading reserves the right to seek compensation for such losses from the parents or guardians of the minor who caused any order(s) to be placed with Brightwood Trading.
